Kern County Autism Resources

www.kernautism.org-Kern Autism Network provides support, awareness, information and education to families, professionals and the public throughout Kern County. We work towards cooperation, coordination and the creation of services between individuals and agencies. We strive for the advocacy of research, education and inclusion for individuals challenged with autism.

www.kernrc.org - Kern Regional Center's purpose is to provide supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve an independent, productive, and satisfying life. As the funding agency for our Afterschool Programs, it is a good starting point to start receiving services.

www.heartsfrc.org - H.E.A.R.T.S. Connection is a Family Resource Center and a Family Empowerment Center staffed by parents and family members of Kern County children with disabilities and/or special health care needs. Staff in the Family Resource Center provide families with parent to parent support, advocacy, training and assistance, resource coordination and information. Family Resource Center staff are also available for consultation and training for professionals who serve families with children who have special needs.

www.ksaba.org - Kern Society of Applied Behavior Analysis (KSABA) - The purpose of KSABA is to increase the understanding and application of Applied Behavior Analysis in the Kern County area. We hope to educate
consumers of Applied Behavior Analysis servies, as well as support local professionals providing those services."
