Valley Achievement Center was co-founded in January 1998 by Jolene Billinger and Bonny Hulsy. The school was established for the purpose of providing a progressive, positive and well-staffed alternative to the current district. Jolene is a parent, a professional and a concerned citizen who promotes the heart of the child and the belief that each person with autism is entitled to the best life possible.

Stephanie Borrilez is currently the School Director’s Assistant and acting HR Administrator. She moved down South in September of 2003 from the Bay Area where she lived all of her life. She is a graduate of Richmond High and Contra Costa College. She has 15 years experience in Office Administration and Accounting. She has been with Valley Achievement Center since October of 2003. "I have a high respect for the staff and the work we do at Valley Achievement Center."

Krystal Dailey has been the Bookkeeper for VAC since February 2002. Her responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting. She was born in Oklahoma, and has lived in Bakersfield the majority of her life. She graduated from Highland High School, completed business and accounting courses at Bakersfield College, and has over 20 years experience in the bookkeeping field

Gavin DiMundo started working as the Assistant Bookkeeper in August 2006. His duties include processing payroll, billing, and accounts payable.

He was born in the Los Angeles area, raised there and on the Central Coast. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from UC Davis in Environmental & Resource Sciences in 1997. He has worked in a variety of disciplines, including the administration of a fashion design college, marketing educational software, and teaching math in public schools. "I have two wonderful children, a lovely wife, and two crazy dogs."

Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator

Gerald de Claro is the Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator at V.A.C.. His responsibilities include developing marketing strategies, coordinating fundraising events, maintaining the website, and providing community education and awareness.
He grew up in Bakersfield, and graduated from B.H.S.. He spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy as an electrician, then returned to Bakersfield to pursue his education. He received his BA in Communications from C.S.U.B. in 2005. He also has 7 years experience working in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
